Customer Reviews:

A biology teacher's dream come true, Visualizing Cell Processes, 3rd Edition is divided into eight chapters-each with 6-10 modules for a total of 50-covering all aspects of cell biology. Chapter titles include "Overview of Living Cells, " "Organic Molecules," "Cell Movement and Transport," "Cellular Respiration," "Photosynthesis," "DNA Replication and Cell Reproduction," "The Genetic Code and Protein Synthesis," and "Viruses," within which short segments combine live-action and colorful computer-animated graphics and illustrations to explore topics such as mitosis, osmosis, transcription, carbon bonding, the Krebs cycle, and more. As a bonus, DVD-ROM features include a password-protected area for instructors with AP test and General Biology curricula correlations to the National Science Standards as well as solutions to pre-and post-tests (also included on an accompanying CD-ROM). The program also comes with media server rights and MARC records. An excellent choice for secondary and higher-ed biology courses, this is highly recommended. Audiences: High School, College. This exceptional DVD contains 50 full motion/live-action and animated modules that demonstrate the processes of cellular life. This comprehensive program covers the cell biology content taught in high school, AP biology, and beginning college courses. Extremely highly recommended Educational Media Reviews Online June 6, 2004

For teachers who need multimedia support to teach complex cell processes in their own curriculum, this is an outstanding choice and by combining a variety of resources in one convenient package Visualizing Cell Processes is an outstanding resource! NSTA Recommends www.nsta.org July 18, 2005

This instructional DVD is very well illustrated and easy to follow...For many students, the ability to see the process rather than just hear or read about it makes the difference between comprehending the material versus struggling to grasp it. It is easy to move through the menus to the topic of interest. Overall, the DVD and CD are easy to use and will be extremely helpful? Highly Recommended Science Books and Films Sept/Oct 2004
